Do you have baby gates in your house? What kind(s)?

We have two baby gates in our house. They definitely help carral our son. We have an accordian swing gate at the bottom on the stairs, and there's also one leading the kitchen that's one of those tension gates with a "door"-type gate in the middle of it. With that gate you don't have to hop over it to get through. You just lift the gate, and it opens like a door. I want to get another accordian gate for the top of the stairs, but that's going to have to wait a little while longer. To bad I can't find a gate, within my price range, that's at least 6-7 feet long. Than I can put it in the doorway leading to our dining room. We keep our computers in their, and my son's in a button phase right now.

I have a daycare room in my house, so yes, I have baby gates. The one that goes in the doorway is a Fisher Price gate that I bought when my kids were little. It is like a tension gate. Then we have a huge opening from the kitchen to the babysitting room. I went online and searched for gates. We finally found one that is actually a pet gate. It is screwed into the wall and has a little doorway opening to walk threw. It works great. I think it was about $120, but well worth the money.

You wouldn't happen to remember the website, do you?

I honestly don't remember the site. We bought it 4 yrs ago when we built this home. I believe it may have even been petsmart. All I know is that it is a gate for animals, not babies, but works just fine.

I don't have any baby gates up in my house. Mainly because they would have to be several feet longer than the average baby gate in order for them to do any good. I did have one that I could put up between the hallway and the dining room, but my daughter knocked it down so many times it got broken.

The only doorway that does not have a date, and I wish it did, was the big one going to our dining room. Right now, we have a set of chairs blocking the doorway, with a dresser as counterweight. We're going to have to figure out something else because that's too much stuff just to block one small child.
