I think the holidays gives people a purpose. It puts them in a great mood. I don't think it changes how nice I am to other people but I am more likely to say happy holidays to the strangers I come across.

I think people are nice and meaner. Strangers are meaner to those they don't know especially in the malls when it's crowded and hectic for everyone. That's where I see a lot of rude people. Also on the roads a lot of people seem to have more road rage at this time trying to rush and do a lot of things at once.

I think the holidays brings out the best in people and the worst in people. Some people are especially kind and generous during Christmas time. But others can be so rude you want to strangle them. They are pushy and demanding. I try to be upbeat and polite during the holidays, even when those that are around me aren't.

i think so because everyone (well, most everyone) is drawn to family and friends during this time of year but some people, like my husbands boss are major scrouges, who dont care about christmas or the reason for the season at all.

It does kind of seem that people are merrier and more gracious around the holiday season. It can bring out the best in some people. On the flip side there are those that can get even ruder. Maybe it has something to do with the stress of it all.

I have seen both in our society. I think that some people are nicer because they remember the true reason of the season and project their happiness onto others. I also think that some are just in a better mood and are nicer to those around them. I also have seen the complete opposite. I think that some people get so caught up in the rush of christmas that it ruins their moods. They are so concerned with shopping and finding the perfect gift, or maybe how they will pay for it. I think the holidays can be very stressful for some people. They then transfer their stress onto others in the form of being rude.

that is what others are saying too. I think that it depends on the person, but it is nice that I am not the only one who notices.Thanls for the comment! Merry Christmas!
