Experience with Tetris?

I've recently gotten into playing a lot of tetris, with some friends too. We play on facebook, as there's a great application with 5 or 6 different modes of tetris (ie: clear 40 lines fast as you can, or score as many points in two minutes as possible) I know its been popular way before now and I was wondering about your guys experience with it and where you played.
