This is my 500th post, yay I did it! I can copy and paste! On a serious note, my daughter bought a present for Santa Clause. How do we deal with present. We were thinking we would write a note telling her that Santa can not accept presents, but how do you going about say that. Any input would be appreicated.

Well, if you think she is old enough to know Santa does not exist, you should tell her. If not, have fun with it while she's young. Leave a note, in a different handwriting, like "Thanks for the present!" and hide the present somewhere so she will never ever find it, even if you have to give it to a friend to put in their basement. I think you should embrace the fact that she is generous and wants to give back, and she should feel good for it. It would be nice if she was able to think that Santa loved her present.

She is 4 not old enough to know the truth about Santa. That is a good idea, thank you for your comments.

She's such a sweetie!! Let her have her way---and YOU donate the present to any of the zillion charities that can give the gift to someone truly in need. :)

We have decided that we are going to write her a letter thanking her for the present and then hide it in the back of her step fathers closet. When she gets older and finds out about Santa Clause, we are going to bring out her presents for him and give them to her.

what kind of present did she buy "him?" Did she buy something that is pretty unique, or is it something like anything else, that she won't notice Mommy or Daddy using? It's only natural that when someone is so "generous" kids will want to do the same, and that is sweet. If she wants to buy a gift for Santa, I reccomend something like a regular run-of-the-mill pair of white socks that he can wear with his snowsuit. That way no one will notice if you, happen to be the one wearing the socks. Just leave a little note THANKING her for the present "from Santa"

From what we understand it is a snow globe. She bought it at school. Her school does a secret santa workshop, basically I give the school a check and they allow her to go shopping in their Christmas Store for gifts for family and friends.
