Hi guys, My husband and I found out today that our baby girl may be born with a cleft lip. Of course as a mother I broke down before the doctor even confirmed it. From the pictures of the ultrasound it seems like she is 100% correct. We have 3 different pics and the lip looks the same on all of them. I would like to know if anyone else has been or are going through this. Please keep us in your prayers because I have not been having a good day today and I would love to enjoy my holidays. Regardless if she has it or not I am going to love her to death.

With me and my wife, we have to worry about Cystic Fibrosis since one of us is a carrier and we don't know about the other one. So, I know what you're going through; especially since she's pregnant.

I will definately keep you, your family, and your little one in my prayers. This has got to be a scary time for you. When I was pregnant with my daughter, there was a 1 in 37 chance (very high) that she could have born with trisome 18. It is a genetic disorder that there are absolutely no known survivers of, and it is extremely possible that is what took my son when he was only 5 weeks old. I was so scared when I was told the news, and I had to have an amniocentisis to find out. I prayed, my family prayed, my friends prayed, and thank God, my little girl did not have it. As I said, I will definately keep you in my prayers. God bless you.

Yes I am very scared. I looked at pic of kids with clept lips about two weeks ago not knowing that my baby has the same thing, maybe it was God preparing me. I am on bended knee every chance I get. I am happy that your baby is happy and healthy. Thank you so much for ur prayers.

You and your precious baby girl will be in my prayers nightly but please try to to worry too much. I've never had any experience with cleft lips but I have read that they've been able to do some amazing corrective procedures in the past couple of years. Think positive, find the best doctor in the field after the baby is born. Don't forget to take care of yourself, too.
