Does anyone out there own a Pit bill?

Pit bulls are very fun, loving and loyal dogs. They also make great family pets. There are tons of people out there who like to bash pit bulls and that is thanks to bad owners and the media. In many cases, where a dog attacks, they will just assume it was a pit bull, when it was really just a dog that looked like a pit bull. The media only goes public with "pit bull attacks." When ever do you think we will see "Chihuahu or Shitzu Attacks Ankles." Yeah, yeah, yeah, they don't put it in the media because they don't do as much damage, but whatevers, a bite is a bite. Even if it were just a nip, they would be sure to put the pit bull on TV. Anyhow, yes I own a pitbull, he's a great dog who is great with kids and likes water... Believe it or not, pit bulls are heros. Give a pit bull a chance to save your life, if he or she is raised the right way and they will, they have.. Give a pit bull the chance to serve its duties and it did...in WW1 for 102nd, Stubby. ~Melanie

My husband's son has a pit bull, his name is Jake. Jake is really a great dog, very playful. He actually can go without a leash, but of course of legal issues he always has a leash on. The only time I saw Jake aggressive is when my husband's ex wife came over with her dog. I think he is a bassett hound. It was a territorial thing I think, and Jake jumped the other dog in the house. It was very scary to see them fight, but a pitcher of water broke them up. Jake got time out for misbehaving, and the other dog was taken outside. But I still think that pit bulls are great dogs, people teach them to be bad, it is not the dog's fault.
