I love cooking but Christmas is my wife's department so I don't get to cook but I do get to make my favorite pie, pumpkin pie.
I usually make pumpkin pie from scratch when the pumpkins are being harvested so we eat pie at Halloween. At Christmas time I buy my pumpkin already prepared and just make the pie crust from scratch.
What do you make that is special for Christmas?

I haven't really developed a traditional Christmas confection. I usually build around Christmas flavors - cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, cranberries, oranges, mint - and add variety to standard cookie recipes. This year I made orange cranberry oatmeal cookies. And used spiced rum to flavor a batch of Russian Tea Cakes teehee
