Will any of you buy a lap top computer or a P.D.A. online in Ebay or any other online stores or will you go to the shop and feel it in your own hands and then buy it.

Hey,
I don't exactly think that buying from eBay is that bad, but the people who sell on ebay are bad. Here is a short story, my dad saw some really cheap 16GB USB drives on eBay, they were selling for about $20 (about 1 year ago). He then told his friend about it and his friend also bought some 16GB USB's since the person selling the USB's had many of them. So my Dad bought 3 USB's and my Dad's friend bought 2 USB's. And guess what? Out of the 3 USB's that my dad bought, 2 of them stopped working after about the first 4 weeks of purchasing. And the same thing happened to my dads friend. One out of his 2 USB's also stopped working. So I don't exactly think I will even try to buy off eBay. Let alone an expensive laptop or a PDA! The people will just run off with your money!

Thanks for the response Eliteuser, I asked this question since online purchase is quite new in India and even though Ebay is available in India, the quality of the merchant establishments in sites like Ebay leaves much to be desired.

So you do not mind buying Laptops or Mobile phones on line, only thing you would buy it in the official sight.Hmmm

yes we must buy like that only. i think in ebay there are many problem.
