Wanted them to get hundreds-Dhoni. How long will we focus on individual records?

Well if Dhoni has not given a chance to both of them to complete their 100 and the game ended in draw, we would have been discussing here that he should have given chance to them as it was not easy for the team India to get them bowled out in so less time. In past Dravid was critisized for not giving a chance to Sachin and we can find many such examples. I think that Dhoni's decision was perfectly right. He has to keep the team mates together and if the team as a whole decides that their bastmen should be given chance to complete a record the what is wrong with that? As such also Indian team had already won the series then why to take risk?

i didnt get to see any killer insticts on the last day play.they had a lead of 283 so they could have made it a 300 to win from 55 overs.england could have gone for the kill and the indians might have fancied their chances of winning the second match.but it seems that dhoni didnt have much faith in his bowler to bowl out the english players in a last day pitch which is keeping low at times within 60 overs.kumble made the exact same mistake when pakistan toured india last year.in the last day of the last match,he left dinesh karthick to score his 50 even though we had a very big lead .then when the pakistani batted,they lost 7 quick wickets but bad light saved them.hope he wont do it again in the future.i rather like dravid for declaring the innings when tendulkar was batting at 194 rather than allowing to get to his double ton and wasting another 3 to 4 valueble overs.sorry to say but dhoni was defensive on the last day and not good for the supposedly future number 1 test team..happy lotting
