A lot of stores normally have really good sales after Christmas. Do you go to the after Christmas sales? Have you gotten good deals? I am always so broke after Christmas that I don't even have a penny to spend. One year I would like to be able to go though.

I like to shop after Christmas and catch the sales. i have got really great deals, especially christmas decorations for next year. I get a bit upset because things are on sale after christmas and not before when i needed it the most. Most times I find such great deals I wipe people off my christmas list for the next year. I also find great deals on clothing, so i usually treat myslef to a few new outfits then.

I went today and got my bags etc for next year and treated myself to a new coffee pot that was on sale! Mine leaked all over the cupboard this morning so it was a very good time for it to go to pot.....Now on Christmas morning I'll have coffee out of a brand new pot! Woo Hoo!

I do my Christmas shopping every Friday like clockwork and this year will be no different.
I do plan to look and see what sort of things are on Clearance. We could use a new artificial tree, and some new ornaments. I like to buy wrapping paper to use for next year if there's any nice ones left.
Other than that I probably won't buy anything, except maybe some toys for my little one who has a birthday in a couple weeks. But we don't need anything else, so I won't waste the money, regardless how cheap it is.

I meant to say grocery shopping, not Christmas shopping. I grocery shop at Walmart every Friday.
Got Christmas on the brain, lol.

I do.....today though my daughter is here so we went and got a bunch of things for 70% off....I got my wrapping paper, ribbon, bows and gift bags for next year already. Friday morning I am going to go out and see if I can get a new Christmas tree as mine is very old and about shot....but I saw a pretty one in one of the store and figure I'll get it for about 75% off.....

I think it depends what I am looking for, or what I need. I'm not one for going to the sales on the 26th, but often by about the 2nd week in January it is worth having a browse, once the crowds have thinned out a bit. It is often the best time to pick up a bargain, and we all love bargains don't we!

I went a few years ago and got some pretty good deals. However, don't think you're going to get good deals on things you can use right away. The 'deals' you get are on Christmas stuff - wrapping paper, ornaments, lawn decor, etc.
One thing I've noticed by wandering through stores after Christmas is that the sales start out at 25-50% off on the day after Christmas and increase each day... so if you're not picky about what color of wrapping paper (etc.) you want to buy, or if you want to buy things that they have a TON of leftovers, you should wait 2-3 days and you will get a better deal.
My take on it is, you can only use so many new ornaments and so many rolls of paper each year, so if you hit up the big after-Christmas sales once every few years you should be set!
