I wonder if this is considered trolling...

Have you seen multiple discussions asking questions that require a minimal peek into Google or Wiki and remind you of the 3d set of Trivia questions from BWW? The ones where you're mildly buzzed and don't really care? For example-who was the president of bla-bla-bla? :)
We all come here to ask questions we would like to know answers to but those discussion need one answer-GOOGLE. Do you agree with me or you reply to those discussion just to get points?

I think it all depends. If it's something I can say a bit about, I'll probably respond... not for the points or for the money, but just for the heck of it.
Most of the time I only respond to friend's discussions though because I don't usually have the time to go all over Mylot looking for other discussions. Most of my friends don't ask stupid questions that they can easily search the web for.

It is not trolling as many of those who have been here long before us can attest. I think it is more like patrolling. Trolling is mischieveous in nature.
Simple questions requiring simple answers may bring the image of the site down. There are other paying forum sites but I am not active there because there are too many single word and single sentence discussions. Do we talk about for example the colour of our bedsheet when we meet? I avoid answering questions like this. I prefer answering questions where a detailed description can be given.
So AnakSunamun, as far as I can see you were not trolling.
all the best,

I absoultely agree with you!
Some uasers say that ANY critisism is to be considered 'trolling' or 'policing' butI guess they agreedtothe rules when they joined.
Wew are suipposed to post quality discussions and those you suggest are definately NOT quality and I report them ALL!
I do not reply anywhere 'just to get points' indeed I reply warning othersof violations they are committing knowing full well I will earn nothing and may even receive a bashing - but I like doing things my way

I'm glad you agree. We all make mistakes and forget the rules sometimes but I don't see to many people posting pointless questions.

Absolutely agree!! :)
Those discussions are potentially being deleted by myLot because it has no quality. Anyone who reply to that type of discussion will also in high potential of seeing the number beside their name increase then decrease on another day..Hehehe.
I always challenge myself to reply on discussion that needed the brain to work for it. I won't bother low quality discussion.
Have a nice day!
