***Has Anyone Ever Invented Anything or Came Up With An Idea?***

Hi Everyone and I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! I came up with an idea or invention the other night about a product and I don't know what to do with it. Has anyone ever invented anything and actually followed through with it? In other words, did you make any money, did someone buy the rights to it, or how does it all work? I "googled" inventions and good grief! There's a million people wanting all your information and telling you how to do this, but I'm concerned that they can steal the idea. I know you should get a patent, but, who do you contact and how do you know they can be trusted? And, is there such a thing that a company would buy the idea and you could just get royalties or something from it? Can you tell I don't know what I'm doing, lol!

I would trust this site for more information. Just read the information about patenting or trademark. It is very good site to read about any legal problem. I didn't invented anything but I my friends recommended this site for me and it helped me with my issue.

Well, I hope that all works out for you. Don't wait too long, otherwise, someone else might come up with the idea's. Thanks for responding!

I came up with a theory about inventing a force field once--however would not have been cost effective for much of anyone to do. A government office should give you the patent. You could likely make an offer to a company to buy the idea from you for a large sum of money, but likely you should talk to a company in person to work out a deal. Maybe you should try the local library for some help as they should have books on the topic.

You shouldn't be afraid that someone might copy your idea for the following reasons: 1.There is a very good chance that somebody have also thought of it aside from you. (I have know a lot of instances where this is the case). 2. If it is good someone will definitely copy it even if they use their own technique. 3. Even if you share your idea to someone it doesn't mean that they will have the capacity to implement it themselves. 4. Inventors don't always end of rich but people with the business acumen to bring an idea to the market. ;)

1. I have never seen this anywhere, that's why it's interesting to me. 2. I know they'll copy it but I'd like to be the first anyway. 3. It's very easy to make, simple in fact. 4. Don't expect to be rich, not in the least. Would just like to live normal I guess you could say. Right now I don't. It's a great idea because I've tried it out, so I'd like to bring it to the market. Thanks for your response, it's appreciated.
