What do you think of skills like singing, acting or doing exceptional mental arithmetics? Those are God gifted or attained by one's one tries and efforts?
I would like to believe that gift of God is a part of it and rest is the efforts to further improve it. For example a 12 year boy doing complicated calculation mentally almost as fast as calculator - is nothing but he is gifted with some sorts of enhanced brain power than others.
Appreciate please share your opinions which may influence mine to think otherwise.

It depends on how you look at it. You can say it is a product of genetic lottery during conception and geniuses are the lucky ones, then you are looking at it in a scientific point of view. But if you use faith, then it is from God's . :P

When a 3 years old or 4 years old is expert in any of the art then it can be said that it is God Gifted but its also depends on that person's hard work.
If I want to be do good in singing then I can also do that but what I would need is total devotion into that art. Nothing is impossible.
So, the conclusion is that sometimes its God gifted but most of the time we need to do the hard work to gain perfection in any art.
