Ya. Christmas just ended and I guess the decorations coudl still be seemed hanging around, however, might be removed soon for coming Chinese new year. Orchard road, yup, as you mentioned, it is still one of the most popular place among youngsters and ladies. At Orchard road, there are lots of shops catered for a range of age group, according to their spending power. Lots of cool stuffs and food awaits one to explore. At times, such as festive season, there will be performance just along the street of Orchard road, quite fun though. Quoting an examplem, during Christmas, you could see carols and dance. Lot of people would gather to see. Just join in the fun if you have the time. Hmm..however, it could be quite squeezy till a state where you can't even move out. There was once I was trapped withing he crowd for nearly 20 mins, trying my way to mingle out. Anyway, to sum up everything, could always log on to singapore tourism board to get more news and stuffs etc. Don't be surprise that sentosa or eslewhere might looked different in your next visitm..lol..things change fast in a face paced society like Singapore. Happy touring the place...cya soon

Lol..I guess its more like "the grass is greeny and the moon is rounder' mentality. People always visualise other countries as more favourable. But no doubt, it there is an opportunity for me to lie overseas, I would have tired that. Its great to know that you like my country that much, but I have too seen people saying that the number of tourist attractions is very limited in Singapore. Somehow, I agree to that. It would just take you a day to visit all the attractions, as much of it is quite common to see in other countries as well. However, I can see the efforts the government is putting into improving the attractions. Since tourism is one of the core economic boost that our country survive on. Another thing to applaud on would be the country's cleanliness. I think much have been spent on making the environment clean, which could also be an attraction if you counted that in.

Hi James, I have been to Singapore once but I only stayed there for 2 days only since we went right away to Malaysia. I'm planning to buy some electronics and camera's with my dad. Can you recommend any place that sells cheap camera's and electronics? We are staying at Singapore for 5 days only and I want my family to spend our time mostly on Child friendly tourist attractions. Thanks!

Hi tangorange, Places such as SIMLIM SQUARE and Mustafa offer real great price for such electronics. For Simlim square, the price would be just slightly lower as compared to departmental stores. However, its a real good place to bargain for freebies. Whereas, Mustafa is all time favourite for best prices. Whats better..they open 24/7. Hope that helps . Regards, James

Hi, James, I like Singapore a lot. what do you Singaporeans in general think of your neighbor Malaysia and Indonesia foreign policy toward your country, do you view your bigger neighbors as trusted partner in establishing regional stability or hostile neighbor capable to bully your country into submission of their whim and fancy?

i am from singapore and in the past few years, i have been travelling out of singapore and trust me, life is better elsewhere in Singapore. I dun know if singapore is really a good place to live apart from its cleanliness and security but apart from that, singapore is nothing on the world map. we think too highly of our leaders and i think they are not doing justice to its citizen and treating its people like small children. Firstly i do not agree with the high pays of its leader. this is rubbish and everything and costs are increasing but not its pp's salaries and pay. Now they are considering a proposal by the transport companies to increase transport cost again in this economical climate. What rubbish is that. The transport minister even has the cheek to say that oil prices is not a main cost of these companies and who is he trying to kid? What other costs do these companies have to justify the increases esp when oil prices dropped close to a $100/barrel in the last 2 months.

Hi chiaeugene. I could'nt say anything or otherwise comment much, but I'm quite positive as to look at other factors that could benefit me from staying in Singapore. There was once a friend of mine told me that SIngapore offers good education system that actually act as a leverage for one to go abroad. Habing heard that..come to think of it ..don't you find it quite true. Hmm, if you really dislike Singapore that much, try to think in other aspects. Say...maybe you could find opportunities to equip yourself with relevant skills then seek for overseas working opportunities. Like my sis, she would be migrating to Australia soon..hmm is an individual choice. Don't ponder over something that we can't controt, but to look at those that we could. What do you think ? Have a nice day
