Complaining neighbor

My neighbor complains about my dog that is howling every night but I've already explained to him that if we're not home my dog really howls. My neighbor believes that my dog sees a ghost and that someone will die because he is a believer of superstitions.What will I do?

My two dogs did much barking a few nights ago due to a cat being back around. He belongs to a lady that was my neighbor more than a year ago before she moved. I remember the unpleasantness of getting a letter of complaint about barking from my local council two years ago. I think that you should stay home in the evening when you can so your dog won't howl. Explain to your neighbor that its usual to your dog that it barks whenever your gone.
