I was watching a documentary once and a man who had been a very respected member of society turned out to serial killer .He had committed a number of homicides in another state and now he had assumed a new identity and was a functional member of his new society and was even on several community committees .Can you imagine the shock of his fellow neighbors when it was eventually revealed ?.
Makes you wonder now how well you know the persons who is a few meters from your home and your children. How well do you know the man you see occasionally or maybe you see him a lot .Maybe you have frequent conversations about sports and politics from across the fence or do you go over for tea and pastries ?.Maybe you even let your children play with his children over their home .
Disclaimer : This discussion is not encouraging you to accuse your neighbor of criminal behavior nor is it encouraging you to overly vigilant (well you cant be too careful these days lol) and inquisitive about your neighbors affairs. Just trying to stimulate discussion.

I know what you mean,we have had a few in england over the time,People standing out side their homes in disbeleif ,lovely neibour who looked after their dog and house, while they were on holiday and plays for the local cricket team .who has parties and is so kind, has murdered fifteen woman. How do you cope with that, after all he is a part of your life, you have developed affection for this person and trust him or her.It must be worse when it is your child that is doing these .Do you beleave it,would you visit this person on prison.I suppose you have to get over the shock and realise you could be tared with the same brush if you have anything to do with them at all and the press will be all over you.Or even worse you have had a cuppa tea with him in his house and eaten his homemade cakes ,the sort he used to poison the others with.I will leave you on that note.
