The best present ever!

I am usually able to be with my family for the holidays. This year we were a little spread out, so I wasn't able to make it to them. Thanks to technilogy We had a video conference on christams morning. Webcams and microphones made it possible for everyone to see and hear what was going on in each other's homes. It was better than anything that I got under the tree. So, did anyone else have a particularly heartwarming christmas moment?

isn't the internet wonderful, I have tried to talk a couple of people into getting a computer just for this purpose but they don't want to get involved with computers and yet it could bring so much joy seeing as their son is overseas and daughters live so far away, I really think the internet has brought us all closer, its wonderful.

yeah some technology does help advance our quality of life
internet has made it possible for me to join a community like this and I also met a great person through chat room online, which is my husband :)
It wasn't a great chatting experience but I met him there so that makes up for the loss
hubby is laid off the whole month, not good news financially but I enjoy being with him more this month
the only bummer is that something is wrong with my mom's phone number abroad I couldn't reach her for the past 8 days

That is great! We had an overseas phone call form an uncle that is in the army and we all passed the phone around the table and he got to talk to all of us. Video Conference would be an awesome idea! Thanks for sharing that. I'll have to drop that idea to them for the next gathering!
