Whats the one thing that you didn't get that you really wish you had gotten for Christmas?

Good answer Rozie, but be careful what you wish for! I hope you meet someone really nice who loves you and treats you really well and vice versus.

Yes, I am holding out until God sends me a wonderful, Christian husband. Thanks for your kind wishes.

Sunshine, but really it wasn't a biggie, as we get is about 97% of the time anyway. But there was a "girl" cucumber flower that we were expecting to open, and the gray day set it back. Looks like it will open tomorrow instead.

cucumber flower - Cannot pollinate it until if opens, but it will not stay open long...
Here is a picture that illustrates the difference. The boy flowers do not have little cucumbers behind them.

Ah ... Sunshine on Christmas! Christmas is supposed to be snowy and white. I live in the northern hemisphere so we're definately not growing cucumbers here. Whats the difference between the girl and boy cucumber flower?

Its very good that you can be content with what you have. I was very happy that my family didn't fight over Christmas.

Actually there was not anything in particlar that I was wishing for so there was no disappointment for me. In fact some of the gifts we received were unexpected but at the same time very welcome. My partner and I bought ourselves a large rain water tank and it was installed a few weeks ago, so that was our present to each other. It was something that we wanted and also needed so it worked out well and it just happened that is was installed just before Christmas. We were lucky to be able to share our Christmas day with friends who also had no family with them for the day. We phoned all of our children on Christmas day and in fact a couple of the graqndchildren said "hello" to us. That really made our Christmas day special, particularly as we did not actually see any of the grandchildren on Christmas day this year. The surprise gift we received this year was for both my partner and I. It was a family photo of all our (combined) children and grandchildren. My daughter-in-law had everyone send her recent family photos of the adults and children. She then incorporated all of these into one large photo frame that we now have hanging on the lounge room wall. The wonderful thing about this is these are step sisters and step brothers and most of the time they do not get along. So that fact alone makes this gift an extra special one for may partner and I to receive. So for me azs well as my partner, we were fortunate not to receive anything that we did not want or wish for. In fact, it was very much the opposite for us.

That sounds great. It sucks when you get a present you don't need or want. I always want to give it away because I know someone will find it useful. I don't like waste. On the order hand I feel bad because it was given as a gift.

I wish I had this freedom you talk of. I feel so tied down right now with debt. Its a really stressful feeling.

I got what I wanted. I had my son on Dec. 10. And he is healthy and beautiful. I couldn't ask for more. The one thing I didn't get would have been auto weight loss. Boy that would be terrific. Alas, I shall have to work at it.
