Precognitive death dreams that come true - What do they mean?

10 years ago... September 1998, I had a dream, while my best pal and I were in 7th grade, that his mom died by jumping off a building. Then, he did followed her footsteps, killing himself b'cuz of her. It didn't make sense at the time cuz neither were depressed back then and all was fine. But 10 years later, September 2008, exact month as before, I discover that his mom died but not from suicide, but from liver/alcohol problems. Then after she died, he killed himself out of depression. Septembr 98 and September 08 - Weird coincidence? Plus the dream came true, although not in the same fashion, but technically it did. It was obviously a precognitive dream. I still to this day can't figure out what it means. Was it simply a warning of things to come or was there more to it?
