After hearing from many mylotters,I learned that you have to be more descriptive with your answers. That is you have to write some three or four lines at least in a response. So try to be narrative and avoid answering 'yes' or 'no' or 'I agree', in simple sentences. But sometimes it is boring to see some long responses but that too if told interesting, then it is well and good.Cheers!

in mylot there is no pay rate far as i know. i was wondering the same thing when i registered with mylot. i was like wow get paid for posting, now that's easy. guess what i made about 11 short post (less then words), the next day i only received 1 cent. on that day i made longer post (2-4 lines), guess what i received higher amount. so... if you want to earn more money in here, you should post something long and start discussion that people are interested in. you will earn from that too. hopefully this help!!!

MyLot doesn't necessarily pay more if your words are long. I think that if you make your responses & discussion posts interesting, that of good quality with proper grammar & with a great hook in your title that generates a good number of responses, you are likely to make more. I think that the tag words that have been chosen and the ones we choose bare weight but am still looking into this. I find that if I include the words that the discussion poster has used in their tags and title, in the body of my response, it seems more valuable. As I have pointed out however, I am not sure yet. It is all about quality. Obviously the length will be that of more than a one or two line response if you are writing for quality rather than responding in quantity, in which case this will not be to any real benefit. The more quality put into your responses or discussions, the more words that would naturally be used, therefore the post will be longer. The more I read about this, the more I understand that it is about quality not quantity. I am not sure if spelling has any baring on the amount you will make per post as I see many posts that have mis spelled words. I find I do the same time and time again and hasn't really affected the income amount. It just goes without saying to check your spelling and correct known errors to add to the quality of the post. Also posting photos with your discussion is a great way to have your photo rated. A positive rating for your photos earn an additional amount for you. Our responses to discussions can earn us more that get a positive ratings as well. So be sure to rate responses to discussions that you find are that of good quality. In turn perhaps your responses will get rated positive also. After all, what goes around comes around. So: Write Quality, not for quantity, Use Proper Grammar and Spelling, Rate Photos and Rate responses To Discussions. Make full use of the options that MyLot provides. The more of us that use these options, the more others will too. MyLot provides these options as a way for us to increase our earning potential here at MyLot.

I believe that it is so. Logically, a 5 liner response or posts is far better than just a single liner. But make sure that you are making or responding with quality posts at all and that is relevant to the discussions at hand. I could tell that you really would earn better because this is one of my experiment last month, in which I make sure that in every response I always have at least 5 lines in it and to my surprise I reach minimum payout in less than 3 weeks. More to that, I only spent less time and less effort in my every posts.

I think the general rule that every one tries to follow is at least 3 lines in a response. I'm not sure about paying more though because myLot does not disclose that kind of information. However, the more "meaningful" your post is (which usually correlates with more words) then the more chance that you'll be rated better and that you'll have a better reputation - I guess that is indirectly related to how much you earn :D Thanks for the comment on my discussion.

Yeah, I guess it pays more if you write more, and I think I can prove it! You see me and my brother are on mylot. I write my paragraphs long while he gives spaces like this:(consider the dots as alphabets) ............... .......... .................. .......... . ........................ ........................................................ ............ and this always happens and it turns out I get the most money between us two!

hahhaha...Your so funny...Dots are not considered for the pay here...You have to post atleast 4 lines or above in order to have a good pay here at mylot..As of now i have 3 bux in my account and still going up...Although the pay rate is slow we can still enjoy the company of each other and mylot is also a good source of referrals..

It does not depend on on how much long do you post...Payment depends only on how much exact do you explain your post...So explain your topic coretly in less words,it will help you more...

if when you response , you just type a few words , do you think you will get paid more ? but i do not mean that you just type as more as you can . this may also be decided by the quality of your words , whether they are useful or useless.

if your post is long, i think you get more money. there is no certain pay rate here, even if there is a certain rate it's not mentioned by them openly. i think mylot wants more quality rather than quantity.

I don't think it is a matter of long post only. Maybe the rating is also considered. Because I've answered quite long on some post. Yet I think I'm not getting paid as much as you guys. ;) My hunch is it is a combination of long post and rating. But I am just guessing of course.
