I lost my whole teenage life to depression. Finally, a few months ago, it was completely gone. Things were going great. I've been through treatment, been in the psych ward twice, taken anti-depressants, turned to God, got out of my bad situation, and I've gone to counseling. Even after all that, and after all my depression disappeared, it came back! There's no way I can continue to go through this. I'm literally depressed about being depressed, and I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. So I was wondering if there are any natural, effective alternatives. I don't want to go back to medicine, or any of that. Possible breathing exercises, or meditation, or foods?

metallette, find those activities that will make you happy. then eat lots of vegetables and fruits. i really do not know much as to what causes this depression thing. all of us have our ups and downs. yet, people do not treat the hardships and difficulties in similar ways. there are others who fight and keep on fighting until they win their battles. that's how i do it. but, i cry a lot and cry so much in the process. i don't blame those who instead of fighting, sulk. however, i would them very much to stop sulking becaust it won't help at all. i have encountered some who do this. i have always tried to help to the best way that i can. for you, metalette, get out of your shell. you are the best person to help yourself in this predicament that your presently in. search within yourself your fields of interest. what would make you happy? if it is a cat, have one. if it is a dog, take care of one. do you love caring for plants? do you like talking to some neighbors? or is there a friend unto whom you can relate easily? do the search within yourself and do it.
