My Proud Purchase for 2008 is...

There's only a few days left before 2009 and that got me thinking about what I've bought in 2008 that I'm actually very proud about for buying. Now, given that I have not purchased anything humongous like a house or a car... my proud purchase for 2008 only came about this month. This December I bought something for my nieces that would never have happened if I wasn't earning income online. See, they are so far away (in another country, to be exact) and if I were to buy something here and have it couriered all the way to where they live, I would have spent A LOT compared to what I've actually spent by shopping online. I bought them cute clothes and it arrived at their doorstep a few weeks before Christmas day. When my sister said that my older niece (the younger one's still a babe so we couldn't get a reaction from her! LOL) went nuts over what I got her - saying "WOW!" and "PRETTY!!!" and "MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!" - I couldn't help but feel like a proud mama, err, aunt! LOL My proud purchase for this year wasn't a big thing but it made me very proud that I actually got it... What about you? What's your proud purchase for 2008? :D

My proud purchase last year was my Nokia 1200 phone. Yup, it's a lowly third class unit but i went to hell just to get that phone. You see, i got this budget for a refurbished Nokia 1100. My original purchase. I went home and it's locked to Sun. I went back insisting that i need a phone for my Globe. It took me a day so i can choose another 1100. I asked them if they have a brand new phone because i was already fed up. They offered me the Nokia 1200 + 400 pesos. I went for it and now i'm a proud owner. At least it's brand new.

That is definitely a proud purchase that you'd remember for a while! :D Oh, by the way, I replied days ago about the MMS thing - it still works with Globe. Even used it the other day too and it worked like a charm. :)

I guess I'd have to say that the best deal I found all year would be my car. I was desperate for a vehicle and an old man offered me this car for less than 300.00. Not only was the price right...it was in great shape and with low mileage. It passed inspection with flying colors.

I got myself a camera :D not from online earnings but from some I saved up on my own during college and some graduation-gift-money presents I received last year. I got the Olympus mju1030 - it's shock proof and water resistant so I can use it even when I go swimming and I'm not afraid to damage it so easily because it's really sturdy. It's not the cutey type and I like it that way because I don't like those kinds of designs anyway :P Thanks for the comment on my discussion!

Buying something that you've saved up for and really wanted is totally rewarding. Thanks. :D
