Can someone tell me how to learn guitar?

In my opinion, I think your should learn it because you like it and you enjoy play it. But not follow the treand. However this post has already posted for a year. Maybe you have already learned it. But you know it's just some opinion~

My Son taught himself to play guitar. He got a couple of pointers from a friend that plays. My son just began playing sounds he likes. Then he began putting them together to make songs, Then he began to write lyrics to them. He plays kind of folksy sometimes. Sometimes jazzy with a litle rock thrown in for good measure. You can go take lessons to learn the basics. Pick up a book that teaches you cords. It sounds like you have a good interest so it may be pretty easy for you. Good luck with this venture.

I found chords to be very easy on guitar, but I did have some musical training beforehand (on accordion) - You will need information about how to set it up and tune it, but after that with a chord reference guide you can start practicing. Now for lead/melody playing, I had trouble teaching myself that, playing melodies instead of just chords and rhythms.

You can search on the net on how to play guitar. I learn just by following on the tutorial basis on how to play it, i feel happy to learn the tune and the chords day by day. I am not still good at it but i can see that i am improving. Learning something new is a great experience for me. Happy mylotting

U can try buy book for guitar practice, than U go course for the expert.

Yeah It's hard to play the guitar especially when you're just starting to play it. Learning the basics of guitar playing for beginners such as chords, strumming, arpeggios etc. isn't that hard once you learned them and get used to it. It took me a month to master a song that i wanted to play when i was starting. You just have to practice and dedicate some time if you want to be good at it.

My boyfriend knows how to play guitar. In-fact it was his guitar who made me fall in love for him. He is the lead guitarist of our church and at the same time he is also into guitar lessons....
