I Cannot Help It But Make Long Exhaustive Responses

Okay, I have been away from mylot for a very long time. Now that I am back, I had the resolve not to make my responses very long anymore. I kind of thought that it is unnecessary to do that. Yet, as I compose my responses, I just could not help it but make sure that I am understood. So I just hope that where it matters, I have really extended help to some mylotters around here. The mylotters of old had always been kind, concerned, helpful doing mylot with a heart. If this kind of mylotting keeps on, mylot will always be the site to beat. How many of you guys share this thought with me? Bring me on those ideas.

I do the same thing a lot of the time. I leave paragraphs when I don't think it's sometimes necessary. Sometimes it's to make sure I'm understood but I think other times it's because I just have too much to say lol and it could probably be because I type fast(ish). If I typed slower my responses might be a lot shorter lol.

it is good to know that there are quite a number here in mylot who do make lengthy resposes, too. however, from your part, would you like it if you also get some lengthy responses to your discussions from time to time, chastised_dreams? there are times when this thought cross my mind. that is, if the one who posted the discussion finds it that the respond that i did was too long.

I actually don't mind. I think it's a good thing when someone responds with a lengthy response because I can see that they took the time to respond to my topic. the length is up to the responder. Some people are more lengthy and some make it short and to the point. Whatever they prefer is fine with me. I actually received some long responses to a topic that I started. I liked reading them.

Personally I prefer posting a little more on here than not if I can. I feel that it is hard to really tell how someone feels about something when they keep their responses short as well. Also when I am trying to respond back to people who post in my discussions, I find that is their answers are really short, it gives me no desire to want to respond back or get to know them better as well.

we share the same observation, krausehome. i have noticed that there are some who post so very short responses like 'yes, i am like that too'. it feels like they are just after what they can have out of having posted it. we can't blame them though if it is only for the money that they are here.

i like this quality of yours, and actually i was missing talks with the person like u, when you were not there. I also feel like u that sometimes i write too much, but u r right....till we are not understood fully, whats the meaning in responding anyone. Some newbies whom i respond, i feel that they dont even read the responses properly, and they are too much after making money, but i dont want to lose these meaningful and touching discussions just for few cents more...i give time to respond and also to read discussions and understand watz there in the heart of the writer.....Happy mylotting...n plz be there for us !!!

I have the opinion that you should write until you are done. And that is for just about everything. There is a point where, in whatever you are writing, you know subjectively that you have fulfilled your purpose, and you know that to go on would be filler, but to have less would be incomplete. That is the place to stop, in my opinion. I don't think that this can be made into a subjective length, because there are so many factors that come into play. I think that this standard can be applied to short (or at least relatively short) responses on myLot, or to things like college papers or even books.

maybe these long discussions that the mylot community gives so readily is what makes mylot fun to be doing. my mind just simply rolls out words and ideas once i am composing a response to a discussion.

It matters especially to those who are seeking for advise and guidance, I am sure that you help enlighten them with their questions and their problems :D Even though it's not called for, people wouldn't mind and would actually appreciate it more if you tell more to help more :D Thanks for the comment on my discussion!

I have had lengthy responses from time to time but I always try to keep my responses short and to the point.I also try to mylot with heart responding to only dicussions that I really feel passionate about but I have also responded to a bit of trivia in my time. However it is not the length that matters ,it is the content and as long as what you are saying is coming from the heart,it shouldnt matter.

i will have to learn the art of making shorter responses which are direct to the point, that's true. especially now that it seems i am having difficult time posting my comments. something wrong with mylot again.
