To help develop the country areas, graduates from universities are encouraged to serve in the country areas. Actually it has been several years that the volunteers go there or to western chinese regions by contracting for a term of 2-3 years. Some would prefer to stay longer after contract expiration. In urban areas, the down to root communities, as the basic organization of municipality, are accomodating graduates as well.
Their educational background is helping in the development of those areas. Meanwhile it is good opportunity for them to get customized to society and accumulate work experience for their career development.
The other benefit for the government is to relieve to some extent the pressure in employment.

this is a good measure that the government has come up with as regards the proper way of injecting knowledge through fresh college graduates in the municipalities. these people really need good ideas on how to improve their way of life from those who have had the opportunity to acquire good education.
