Yes I am. Whenever I go to my neighbour's house or my friends house, first I get confirm whether their is a dog or not. After that only, I will enter into the house. But I love dogs too.. Post your opinion...

I am also afraid of some dogs only. Actually i like all dogs. But some dogs are really ferocious and will surely bite you. But some dogs only bark but don't bite and when you go near them they will be afraid of you and run away. My dog Diana dos not bark or bite. She is really a friendly dog and is friendly with all people. Even when kids pull her tail she will never get angry. Because of her friendliness everybody in our compound love her so much. But we must be careful with some dogs. You can find out whether the dog is going to bite or not by looking at it's eyes. Happy Mylotting

There are no bad dogs only bad owners. If the owners know how to control their dogs then you have nothing to fear. We have a retired greyhound. It took him a while to get used to being in a house and he was afraid of a lot of things. With some patience, he soon got used to things and now he is the most laid back dog you could meet. A greyhound would probably be a good dog for you to meet and build up your convidence with dogs. I have not met a nasty one yet.

I think that this post should get voted best response. I am so sick of people judging dogs, whether its by size, breed, etc. There is no such thing as a bad dog!!! You can take a puppy that was born into a hellacious situation, and raise a completely normal and well behaved dog. Thank you wanderer...it's good to know that there are some people who actually have common sense. You give me a little more faith in humanity!

Dear friend, I am afraid of those dogs which shows some dangerous approach to me or some behaviour that make me feel something wrong is going to be done or may that dog may hurt me. Other wise I am much friendly with friendly dogs. Moreover I have my own dogs which I am not afraid of. I do bit hesitate to go near those dogs which I am not much familiar with or at beginning of being familiar.

Dogs can be dangerous, but I'm not really afraid of them. There was one dog when I was growing up that I was afraid of, it was a huge German shephard that lived in the house next door to me. In fact, it belonged to my best friend growing up and her family. Her father was always away on business trips so her mother got a dog that was trained to be an attack guard dog. It had to be locked up whenever company came and it would howl and growl, scratching at the door to get out and attack whoever came to the house. I was always afraid it would get loose and attack me. Needless to say, I didn't spend much time in my friend's house. Normally I'm not scared of dogs though.

I adore big dogs. Since I've never had a really bad biting incident with one I done have any fear of the big dogs. Small terriers and toy breed dogs are a whole different matter entirely! They are to nippy. I'm always cautious around smaller dogs.
