Drinking from a straw

without backwashing! How did you teach your kids how to do this? My daughter who is not quite 2 has figured it out on her own, but my son who is almost 9 still does it. I won't let him drink from my cup because no matter how hard I try I cannot get him to not backwash when he is drinking out of my straw. How do you teach them?

I think it is just natural instinct. My daughter figured that out early too. I still don't know how she knew, but she did. I guess it just takes time with some kids.
