Some Serious Dream Issues; Help

I decided this might be appropriate here, not to mention that some feedback would be nice as I know some people here are very smart. Anyways, here you go. Anyways, the purpose of this is something that just occurred to me is rather journal appropriate. I've been meaning to get it out in words but just haven't gotten to it, I guess. So here's the thing. I have been having these dreams lately. They are completely normal dreams... like weirdly normal dreams. They all are just normal days except for a few that are only slightly odd, and the weirdest thing is I can remember almost all of them perfectly and none of them repeat, although some do have repeating themes or information and thought processes like reasonings to do whatever I decide to do crossover from one dream to another. Alright, one weird thing that makes these dreams a tad bit strange. I have no control. Now, most people wouldn't find this surprising but I can usually dictate my actions in my dreams and especially so, if they have the type of presence in my mind to where I remember them when I wake up. The strange thing is, I can tell exactly what I'm thinking and I can feel the decisions being made, but it's like I am watching the decisions be made and watching the person consider these things in his head, not actually considering them, myself. Second thing, and this thing along with the third and last is why this is a huge problem. These dreams occur EVERY NIGHT. And sometimes they occur multiple times in one night (completely different dreams mind you, although i find if I want to continue the "story" from the previous dream, it usually happens.) I can remember almost every dream perfectly, always can right after I awake. Not so much so, later on but that is because the dreams are coming up to, let's see, I average about two dreams (by dreams I mean separate "stories") a night. This has been happening since I moved to Texas (something I think is definitely related to the dreams. I left a lot behind and made the decision and two days later was in Texas.) that would make it at least 3.5 months, most likely a bit more but I'm not sure so that makes. 210 dreams at least. As you can tell, it gets hard to remember them all. The other and last issue is this is effecting my sleep, as one might imagine. I can't sleep for more than two hours, most of the time only one hour at a time. This results in me sleeping at least 12 hours a day, and if I have the time, more like 14-18 hours a day, before I feel refreshed and able to wake up. Now, one may say, "You are sleeping too much. Just sleep less and you will feel more refreshed." I have tried it, for about a month to make sure I was out of any residual funk from the previous patterns. No dice. I felt more tired, I had to take a nap through the middle of the day, I kept on nodding off doing anything, one time resulting in me passing out in the shower, resulting in me giving up and sleeping longer. Even after sleeping for say 14-18 hours, I find that I can sleep more, although this may be due to me not moving for that long of a time and my muscles being weak. The only thing that really forces me out of bed is the urge to go pee and then pushing myself on, as I have slept about 3/4 of the day. Anyways, that's the deal. I think I covered most of it. Just realize about ten percent of the dreams are, at least, clearly related to me moving to Texas. I know I should see a doctor for this, but I have literally zero money at this time. My first paycheck is tomorrow but that goes to a pair of glasses. Something else I needed to get but couldn't due to the lack of monies. And I have bad vision too. I hope the glasses might make a difference in how I feel with all of this.

TrayBlaylock, are you sure you moved to Texas for a good reason? You say you left behind a lot that you cherished. Are you happy at Texas? IMO you might have moved to Texas in order to move away from the problem. It looks not only a problem drove you out of your home you also had something you cherished at the old place wherever it was. Right now you need a good night's sleep. And you are not having it. You know a refreshing sleep is a deep dreamless sleep. If only you had them oftener you wouldn't need to sleep for 12-18 hours a day! Are you out of job, otherwise how do you find so much time to sleep. One way to get a good sleep is to tire yourself out. Further from your description of your having a near-total control of your dreams they could be better called as fantasies rather than dreams which are some kind of unwinding for the subconscious. The fact that you are able to remember most of your dreams also lends credence to their being fantasies rather than dreams- pure dreams. Please respond to this if you think I am moving in the right direction. Your urgent need is to find some good sleep and that should happen I mean you must try to make it by natural means.

When in High School, a long, long time ago...I wrote a paper about dreams and am still amazed with them. I cannot posts links yet here on myLot, however, there are many free sites on the net that can interpret your dreams for you. It does not have to be in their entirety. Even primary events or things are very important and hold significance. I hate that you are suffering like this. My daughter has started having nightmares in the past month and stays up all night. She can sleep in the daytime, as she says, she has "daydreams" and "nightmares"...makes perfect sense. I wish I had answers for you, but can only direct you to dream interpretation sites, with the information you have given. If you can pinpoint certain aspects of your dreams that stand out, their are meaning to them, and they can put your mind at ease. It is our subconscious mind that creates these dreams and things that we have deep inside that we may not even be aware of. Good luck and I hope you are able to get a good nights rest soon!
