Genesis First chapter: 27: So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28: And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Genesis second chapter: 7: And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. 15: And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. My question: What on earth happened to the first man and woman? The first man and woman was given full freedom, bleassings and authority. Whereas the second man (Adam) was apponited to dress the garden and to keep it.

When you set out to be a business-executive, do you just plop down & build the whole network of affiliated stores? Or do you start with one store, profit largely enough there to build another store, and then another & so-on? (Of course, that's assuming you have the money & know-how to open a WHOLE STORE---money & know-how one would generally get by 'starting at a menial job at a store & working one's way up the hierarchy to assistant-manager at least'!) Just like you weren't born a fully-grown adult (but became one gradually over the years), G*d didn't insta-form a fully-grown adult-couple! He may have done it with an instant of work, but there's a lot of "waiting" that the Bible didn't mention!

Confusions arises when we take things out of context. This is true, not just in the case of the Bible but even in text books. To clear the confusion, you must read Genesis chapters 1 and 2 completely to know that what was said in chapter 1 is just elaborated in chapter 2. Next time, please don't take things out of context. If you are not sure about contextualizing things, then you should at least provide the whole chapter.

Genesis 1:27-28 is a general out line of the creation story. Genesis 2:7-15 is giving the details of genesis 1. Adam and Eve are the first man and woman that are to dress the garden and given the freedoms, blessings, and authority. They were put into the garden. Since Adam and Eve lived so very long, over 900 years, so it was that Cain had a large number sisters or nieces Had a lot of children and to chose his wife from.

I started a discussion on the same topic a few months back. Not a single Christian could answer me satisfactorily. Most insisted Adam was the first man, while even the Bible states clearly that he was not. There was a couple before...now what happened to them? I guess those are the happy Pagans??? The people who never sinned unlike the Christians, the Muslims, and the Jews? LOL! Cheers and happy Mylotting

If you will read the entire chapter of Genesis 2, you will find that the first man was Adam and Eve was formed from his rib. Adam was the first man, and he was the one God put in the Garden of Eden. When God talks about putting the man in the Garden of Eden, he tells him of what trees he can eat, but not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. This is the tree the apple came from that Eve ate and talked Adam into eating. So you should know the rest of the story. They sinned and knew their nakedness and clothes themselves because they were ashamed.

At least you now know how it was that Cain was able to find a wife, there were other peoples. According to Hebrew lore. The Hebrews are descended from Adam, the gentiles are the elder race of man, the first men and women crated. And they were not to mingle their seed with that of man. To the Hebrews the term son of God had different meanings that they have today. Any Hebrew, or israelite was a son of God, the king of israel was The Son of God definite article. so the sons of God, saw the daughters of man were fair and went into them and bore Nephilim, (giants), men of renown, Just as Cain had went off and married a daughter of Man. See that the daughters of Man were fair. This is the description of caucasians, The race of Adam starting in the mesopotamian region was a dark skin race. heck I could go on, but there are many levels to the "truth" of the bible, of which if it were all said I would really make a lot of enemies here, as it would not only effect Christians, but Jews and Muslims as well.

You know I had some questions to that will get all kinds of strange answers so I will honestly answer I don't know. I think our best best is to wait til we get to heaven and ask all of our questions then for that's what I plan on doing. Noone down here on earth is going to know the correct answer but have fun looking at them.
