We have an artificial tree, so we don't dispose of it, we just pack it up re-use it each year.

We have a plastic christmas tree which we use every year. I don't like to buy live trees which have to be disposed every year. This procedure does not respect the environment.

thats true but many do buy live trees during christmas time and hopefully they will dispose of it in the right way.one thing about a plastic tree you can use it over and over again.

Although my family and I decided not to put up a Christmas tree this year, I remember what we used to do when I was little. We would use the same tree and the same ornaments. Sometimes there would be more as we would have bought some at the after-Christmas sale or made them ourselves. In the end, we took down our tree and stored all the ornaments in a box. The lights would also go back into the box they came out from.

if you are reusing the tree and the lights and ornament storing them for next year is a good ideal so you can use them next year.family hardly ever throw the llights and trees, are ornment out.

Hi annjilena. I have artificial tree now. I'll be packing mine up. I used to get a real one and just after Chridtmas the city I live in would set up tree disposal centers here and there throughout the town. I would take mine there.

when we take every thing down we put it all in the shed out back and I am telling you that it is mostly full of just christmas decorations. But I dont like to have anything took down before after the 1st and my son in law is hollering down it comes today! as the leaves from the trees are really all over teh place but I do think they could rake it all to the middle the use lawn mower they dont want to take the time to do this so the decorations can stay up till next wek end. grrrrr.

My tree is pre-lit so I will take it down and put it back in the box and the ornaments goes into a bag in the top of the closet until next year.
