I have watched a documentary about Unabomber where this man wanted to make a statement against progress and used to send bombs o several academics. Was he a mentally instable person or a criminal?
In the case of the unabomber Ted Kaczynski, it was his brother that gave him to the police. In case it was your relative, would you do the same?

ACtually there's no really right or wrong.. ANd they are not really mentally unsound too.. In his case, he's just taking his actions to the extreme as nobody is really on his side.. He just wanna use power to draw attention..
ANd what his brother do is definitely right because he cares for him.. He doesn't want him to repeat the same mistake again, and he wants him to learn what's the right way of doing and handling things.. It takes alot of courage to turn in one's own family members.. I really admire his courage..

I would give in my own brother or any other relative to the authorities. Despite that I would love him I don't want him to harm any other person in the world.

Well, I would think he was a bit of both or should I say a unstable criminal. If I was the Unabombers brother I would hope that I would have the courage to turn my brother in so he couldn't harm or kill anyone else. He did alot of damage and killed and hurt alot of peole with his bombings. If he was just trying to make a statement baout the progress then why let off bombs while people could be hurt or killed?

I think his brother did the right thing, it doesn't mean he liked what he had to do but this man whether he was a criminal or insane needed to be stopped before he killed more people. I think I would have done the same thing.

I wrote a paper on Kaczinski in college. I believe that he drove himself insane. He was a VERY intelligent man, and I can see how it happened. I would love to live alone in the woods..... but for the sake of sanity I do not. I believe he was unstable. He had very good points, but went about it all wrong.

I think both mentally unstable and criminal would be correct assumptions! LOL!

I don't feel killing anyone sends any statement except the person is mental and needs help. Killings are mainly a revenge plot for something. If I knew one of my family members were a unabomber, you bet I would turn them in. I am against killing innocent people for no reason at all.

Hi ronaldinu, I would certainly give him over to someone in authority, but I would want to be sure that he was treated well, and be tested for mental illness. I think the man was mentally unstable. Such people have to be kept away from society until they are well again. If they never recover, than we just have to keep them locked away but they should not be punished but treated humanely. Blessings.

You can count on it, I'd be on the phone right now if I even thought I knew who would do such a thing. A bomber of any type needs to be stopped.

I think that anyone who kills people probably has some kind of mental instability. People mostly don't just get up one morning and decide to kill someone just for the fun of it. Whatever they are, they have to be locked away and handled to keep the rest of the public safe. There is only so much people can do, but I think more should be done to reform people who are in jail. We have to do more to keep people from resorting to this kind of thing.
If this was my brother going around and sending out bombs, I would have to turn him in, it would be hard, but not turning him in would not change the fact that he had hurt people and needs to be stopped. People are dangerous. One person's freedom is not as important as the safety of many potential victims.
