Last year we arranged a party and I got a gift from someone. When I opened the gift what I found was the name of that person (who gave me the gift) inside in a card, wishing happy birthday. That person gave me a gift what she got as her birthday present from someone. She did not even bother to open the gift and see before she gives it to others. May be some people don’t value gift much, or may be there are other reasons. But I don’t appreciate what happened. Did something like this happen to you? What do you think about this kind of incident?

have no had that happen, although I am like you and would not have thought much of it. I cannot believe that they did not even open it.

ya, I wonder how one can't open a gift after getting it; its an insult for both from who they get it and to whom they give it.

That was very unthoughtful my friend, to do that is actually unkind and blatant that she couldn't of cared less, no thought, no discretion, no feeling, it is very sad that someone has to do that, even if you don't like a present and pass it onto someone else you'd make sure that there were no labels on it, she is obviously rude and it's not a sort of mistake you would make around friends or anyone, most people wouldn't even treat their enemy in this way. Thankfully this has never happened to me, but I would remember for years to come if someone did this to me!

True wolfie, no one will forget this kind of incidents. I will remember it always as a bitter experience of life. Good for you that that kind of things never happened to you.

Hi there sweetlady10! I know that there are people who recycle gifts. It's sad though that there are those who are not careful enough. Like the one who gave you the gift which was given to her for her birthday. For sure, I have been given some of these types of gifts but the ones who gave these to me were really careful not to have included a card nor any evidence that these are recycled gifts.
