What makes you think your pet listens to you?

Okay people. There are times when we just talk to our pets. In my case, I talk to my dog. I ask her if she's hungry or if she wants to go out. I think she does listen because she responds. Besides that, I would watch her ears twitch. My dog's a shih tsu. ^_^ Sometimes when I treat her like a baby, she'd lie down on the floor, on her stomach. She'd continuously move her front legs as if she were swimming. It looks weird because it makes her look like a mermaid. LOL. Nobody taught her that, one day we just saw her "swimming" on the floor. :D What about you guys?

My dog responds, too. She looks at me and listens to what I say. When I say sit, she'd sit and when I say down, she'd lie down. When she's hungry, she let's me know by barking and tapping me with her leg. Dogs are intelligent, specially if they are well trained. Not only that, they are loyal, too.
