Are you a good liar? How do you get away with it?

Lying is always an issue. There are white lies, serious lies, etc. A lie is a lie no matter what the objective is, so they say. When I lie, I'm get caught most often in a sense that I'd be told that I am not a good liar. Once I lied to a security guard but I didn't get away with it. As for minor lies, I do somehow escape with some difficulty. For example, my dad asks where I and my mom are. My mom tells me to tell him that we're on our way home when we're not. That happened through SMS anyway. Most of the time when I attempt to lie, I end up being quiet. 0.o What about you?
