I think Tobi is Uchiha Madara. There are rumors that he is indeed Madara. There are also rumors that he is affiliated with an organization far more powerful than the Akatsuki.

yes tobi is uchiha madara. if your read the manga madara and sasuke are talking about the history of konoha and why madara want to destroy konaha by controlling the nine tailed beast with the use of shringan
