Are your area gas prices rising?

Just stopped at the gas station. It's been running about 1.98/gallon(US) the last few weeks. Now that elections are over, it's up to 2.05. I asked the lady in there about it, she said they got the call from the gas company this morning, and were told to raise it to 2.05. I'd been hearing they would go up after the elections, guess those people were right. Hope it doesn't get as bad as it was.

Yes, they are on the rise again. I filled up today and paid 2.15 per gallon. I knew it would go down before the election (and it did) but I also knew we would never see gas permanently priced below 2.00 again. Once these companies see that we will pay it, the price never ever drops to what it was before the "crisis". It was this same way the last time we had an oil situtation...gas rose tremendously and never dropped back again. I think they manufacture these crises every few years just so they can justify a major price increase...of course, that is just my opinion from seeing it happen so many times.

I agree with you, I think they use every excuse they can to raise the prices. And, like you said, it'll never go back, they're too used to the big profits. Maybe the Dem's will be able to do something, was low when they were in before..........

The other day I filled up my truck and the price was 2.08 per gallon on the way home that night it went back down to 2.05 it seems to me that the gas price's are all over the place it go's up for the weekend then starts to drop after the weekend. I think they are trying to get more money from the weekend traffic but the place is still the cheepest around

Yeah, I've noticed that before. They always tend to go up before the weekend and holidays. But now I'm noticing they're not going back down.....

man your gas is CHEAP where you're located. Ours is just beginning to go down to 2.07/gallon for unleaded, it's been fluctuating between 2.20-2.96 for that past 6-8 months, until recently....

We were up there as well, think the highest I saw (at the cheap stations) was 2.98, about 2-3 months ago. Then it slowly dropped to just under 2.00, now back up again. Sucks lol....Guess I'm keeping my little 4 cylinder Toyota :)

Our gas prices were running $1.98 up until about 1 week ago. Now the prices are up to $2.05 and rising from what I've seen at many gas stations.

Well ours didn't go down till after the elections. It slowly went down to right around $2.03 and we were happy to see that. Now it's creeped back up again. Yesterday when I was out and about it was at $2.21 but who knows what it is up to today. I hope it goes back down again. Would be nice.
