Well. First off I know it is ALL MY fault that my dog is not fixed. When I got the dog I was taking it in because she was being abused. All my other animals are fixed 2 dogs and 2 cats. She is the only pet I have not fixed. Thanks. lol
So yesterday I knew my dog had been in heat for the past few days. The neighbors upstairs have a male dog. We told them that my dog was in heat and they understood I did not want puppies. I am moving a hour out of town come feb first to a nice newer house. Now I have puppies to deal with. I let my dogs out the back door and then let theirs into the porch so he could be away from my dog. 5 minutes later my dog is yelping like she is being killed. I yelled omg she's getting humped but in a different term due to the children around. I was making my turkey my hands were covered I washed up quick as my bf ran out side. I get to the door and they are already stuck together. So I told the people upstairs that I locked up the door and the kid just starts laughing saying oops I didn't know she was out acting all dumb. He is a 13 year old boy. His parents weren't to impressed with him I'll tell you that much.
So I figure the responsible thing would be to take care of these puppies before and after they are born. That's really my only choice. Lucky my bf has had a dog who has had puppies. She had 12 of them so he is ready for this. I am not to up to par with the whole baby making and delivering thing.
So I figure come 2 months we will have a bunch of lab crosses looking for homes.

Is it really 2 months for dogs? I thought it was the same as cats, 1 month. Ya know just as you said there is nothing you can do about it now but you can hope that it didn't take because it doesn't always take the first time just make sure they are kept apart from now on. I would have reemed out that kid omg what a little jerk.

Oh I myself was ready to pound that kid and force him to take care of all them and feed all them. But if we did that it wouldn't turn out and I'd be stuck with a bunch of unhealthy pets.

Don't worry you will love the experience. I have seen puppies born and kittens born. Its different all right. There really is nothing to it. Then you can give the puppies away when they are old enough.

Keely hun,
If you are at all worried about your girl and how you and she will cope with the puppies then the Vet is able to deal with that when you take her for her check up. He can remove the pups and spay her at the same time. You might not think it is the best way to deal with it but at least there wont be up to 12 pups with no homes to go to.
I just thought I would let you know of another option for you.
Hope it all goes ok
