Not many Discussions with No Responses - Today

I just logged in a bit ago, and was checking out the Discussions with No Responses. On just the first page there are discussions that have been hanging out there for an hour already.
What this means in my mind is that either there aren't too many people active on here today, or there aren't too many discussions that are not being responded to.
Has anyone noticed this? Is it just since a lot of people are home for the holiday break and they have more time to respond to the discussions?
Has it been this way all week? (I've only briefly been on in the last week.)
Let me know what you think the reasoning is for this.

Well, a lot of the time when the discussions are sitting around there longer like this that are the ones with NO RESPONSES, I think it is because people are more active in here, and these are discussions that are often overlooked due to Topic, or these might be Newer members that others have not gotten a chance to know yet.
I think it goes in spurts though who is active in here, and how often, and how many New discussions are started. There are times like later at night, that this site is quite busy so they move really fast, so you never really know.

Absolutely KrauseHome, seems you understand where I am coming from also.
I think that a lot of people just weren't starting new discussions over the holidays. Many people were busy with family and shopping. The holidays do seem to keep people busy.

I know I've been online on Mylot because I'm on break from school, but since I've been working full time over the break I've been having a hard time finding much time to get online. I'm too busy trying to get things covered/taken care of that don't involve Mylot.
It's been a nice, but stressful break for me. :D
I'm actually enjoying getting to sit and curl up with my laptop and reply to discussions.
I'm sure there are others that feel the same way.

Thanks for your response in this discussion, CheshireKat. And that's a unique screenname by the way.
I think a lot of people do find it relaxing to come to myLot and join in the discussions. It seems most people here are pretty positive.

I noticed it, too. I think many are still bsy with family and friends. Some may be tired. Some may be taking down decorations....ect...I am tired and I still have to clean up the house because after being gone so much...ect...theyll all be coming back in lol...maybe tired but here lol@kykidd (6812)

I hear ya! I went to sleep too late last night and got up too early this morning I think. I am about beat and today has been a long day for me. I am going on a trip tomorrow, and I need to finish packing. I'm excited about going, but I just can't seem to get up the energy. LOL

Actually, I wasn't really talking about discussions that I had started. I was just talking about discussions in general that have no responses to them.
I didn't mean to complain, it was just a perception that I had made.
