Sperm Donation

We are a 'gay' lesbian couple. We have been together for 7 years, known each other for 'many more'. Both of us are in our 30's and we are/have been trying to find a suitable 'private' sperm donor. Can anyone help with information they might think could help us on our way to becoming the family we so desperately want to be? ruthchadwick@btinternet.com

Why not ask a family member? I have heard of many lesbian couples asking a family member to help.

We wish we could only we have no family members available or willing to help in this way. We have been looking at several options here in the U.K but we really want to try and go 'private', this being the only option as we can 'see' the person who is donating. All the 'sperm donors/banks' offer is a 'baby' photo and we really want to know the person/see the donor and find a donor willing to be contacted if the child wants contact at 18. Its a never ending circle of questions and no answers right now. We have to really go about this carefully but as we are now in our 30's we need to hurry it up a little -
