self healing trojan

okay i know the name pretty much explains it but how exactly is it able to latch onto a program that is already on your computer? how do you get rid of it?/ what's the best way to avoid them? and where do they come from?

Trojans come from unfriendly sites or pop-ups. The best way to get rid of it is an anti-virus program. They come from hackers who want your personal info. If it gets really bad, you can do a system restore.
