Hi aakay4u
Thanks for your discussion.Well,Australia have been the no 1 in the world of cricket for quite a long time now and I think it is high time now that some other team replaces them at the top spot. With the current form of the teams I guess may be India or South Africa will be able to do the job.

I think that it is good thing that the level of the game is increasing higher and higher. Before few years, Indian team could drew a series with them and at that time even that achievement was considered to be a big one. This shows that the matches with Australia were one sided in favour Australian team.
However, now a days we find good competition in test matches. Before few months, England defeated South Africa in England and then the same team was defeated by Indian team. However, the South African team got better of world number one Australia. This makes cricket an interesting game.

I think that was on the cards after the poor showing by the Aussies. See they had first lost the CB series to India. Then when they toured India, here too they lost quite comfortably to India. In fact that was a revenge series how we were humiliated in Sydney. The South Africans did good to pay the Aussies in their own coin. The Aussies were given their own dose of the medicine and they lost both to India and South Africa at Perth. The current thing is that today South Africa defeated the Aussies again and took an inassisible lead of 2 out of the 3 match series. Congrats to SA!!!

well its about time right?? how long can they keep on winning?? every rise has a fall accompanied with it... i think this might be the end of ricky ponting's captaincy... anyways i am glad that they no longer dominate cricket... its a relief!!
