Touchscreen OS on no-touchscreen PC?

I heard that the Windows 7 that is going to be released wihtin a few months is touchscreen enabled. I want to use the OS but I don't like the touchsreen. Can I run the OS on a computer with the kind of monitor that we are having today ie., the monitor with no touchscreen?

hmm yeah BUT its optional i mean u get it in the CD but u have teh option of installin the touchscreen features so its not a big deal n touch monitors r gettin common so hopefully they will b cheaper soon happy lotting and have a happy new year

i dont no about if you can run it on a normally monitor will have to find out when they release it i think, but i think touchscreen will be fun dont you think, becuase people these days are buying touchscreen phones and ipods, so having a touchscreen computer will be great. why dont you want to use the touchscreen feature?
