Do you prefer watching anime by yourself or with people you know?

The thread title says it all. Do you prefer watching your anime in silence and peace, by yourself or do you prefer watching it people with you know? For me it depends on what show it is and who is available to watch anime with. There isn't very many people I know that live near me that like anime, so I usually watch it by myself. My brother, of course, excluded because he doesn't like the same genre of anime I do, unless its on TV, and not some fansub I just happened to stream online. I like watching anime by myself when I'm on the internet streaming because there is no one around to comment on certain scenes that happen in it and distract me from the series. The only exception I'd make is that if I had already seen the series myself and am just trying to introduce it to a friend who just happens to have a laptop and wants to watch some anime. (I introduced one of my friends to Ouran this way.) How about you?

It usually doesn't matter to me who I watch it with. Although my family often mentions that they think I'm a weirdo because I like to laugh out loud and make comments when I watch anime by myself. They think it's strange behavior on my part.

lol. . .that's kinda sad. In general there are a lot of people who comment on things they watch, anime or not. You aren't weird. It's perfectly normal.

lol...I know that. But my parents think it's weird because they'll hear me laughing out loud or saying something in the middle of the night. That's when I usually watch anime.

I prefer watching it alone.. In that way, I can laugh as loudly as I can or cry as much as I wish! Most of my friends do not watch too. They find it too childish. As for those who do, we only discuss about it, never watch together before. I usually watch anime alone at night on my laptop.

Hehe. Yeah. .I watch most sad or funny anime on my iPod as well. If its an anime that will evoke my emotions to the extreme. I like to watch them under the covers on my bed before I go to sleep. :)

I don't really care if I watch anime by myself or with others. But anime is usually on at night if your're going to watch it on tv, but if you're gonna watch it on computer than it doesn't matter.

Yep anime is usually on at night if you don't have the Anime Network channel. . .I wish my cable company offered it lol. And yeah, I like watching it online because its more convenient.

I love watching anime in general bit it really depends on the anime. Shows like naruto or bleach i sometimes watch wit my friends but anime with alot of fan service *cough*cough to-love-ru*cough i prefer to watch alone for obvious reasons.

Haha its the same for me as well. Anime with fanservice (or more explicit things *cough*) I download onto my video ipod for obvious reasons and watch it on there. (:

Most of my friends can't take my 4 hour long slots I sometimes set apart for anime. It's fun to watch with friends, but only when they are quiet. One of my friends constantly, pauses and rewinds whenever something cool happens. I watch most of my shows online, so I tend to watch them alone. But I always talk about them with other people later.

I love watching anime with my boyfriend. In that way, we can express our thoughts and ideas about the anime. It is one way of our bonding together.
