myLot reputation depends on the ratings that we get from other users for our discussions, responses and comments. This reputation is reflected by the star and number nect to our user name after we have passed the 100 post mark. We can get a net negative rating resulting in total disappearance of the star. This can happen if your postings incur the wrath of certain people. Read myLot guidelines to understand what is and what is not allowed. Quality and content means our postings should be more than a few lines long. Points should not be repeated just to make the posting appears long. Topics should be of substance. It is easy to get lots of responses to simple discussions but this is not a good idea - read the guideline on this matter. Respect the views of others. I am sure there are issues that we disagree with but this does not mean we cannot have a civilised discussion. Do not be blinded by emotions. Earnings are calculated based on an algorithm which is only known by the staff of myLot. Quality and content play a part. all the best, rosdimy

ok, so do you actually earn more with a higher rank or is it just kind of a "reputation" score

Earnings are not related to rank. Even newbies can earn more than old timers.
