Take her shopping for some very fancy undies. Let her pick them out. Then tell her that if she wants to wear them she has to start going on the potty. That is what I am working on with my 2yr old too.

I have to say great minds think alike...I have tried this and I don't see why it didn't work cuz she so prissy. She loves clothes and shoes and to be all dazzled up. Thank you though.

It will take time. My daughter was potty trained when she was 3, It was h a little hard for me to potty train her during her 2nd year, I have 17 mos old and I'm also tired of diapers.

When my girls were potty training I left the potty chair where near the area that they occupied most. They usually ran around bare bottomed. After a couple of tinkles running down their legs they got the clue that they need to hustle to the potty. And forget about the bam. They made a mad dash when the realized that was about to enter the room.

Candy Candy and Candy is the route. Each time your child goes potty in the toilet, give one little piece of candy. Hershey Kisses work great! And once the potty is going no problem. Change it to giving only when she/he goes #2. This method works great!!!!! Once the child has it all done, take him/her to toy store for one toy. Make sure you keep on reminding her or him about the toy once the child has no more accidents! Cause my children would go to the toy store and pick out the toy saying I'm a Big Boy now. I go potty! It is sooooooo adorable!

I feel your pain, my son is going to be three in Feb. and he refuses to use the potty most the time. :( His doctor told me not to worry about it, he said boys quite often won't be ready till about 3. o_O

Not really a suggestion, but a story. When my oldest was around 2 we were potty training her. They had just come out with the pullups which I would use. She always wet in them. One day at the daycare she either ran out of them or the caretaker just put her in regular panties...not sure which. But, ever since she was put in panties, she never wet her pants again. Who knows.... My second girl just learned pretty much by watching. I think she just knew that was what girls did! Now my two boys...they both learned at later age (3-4) but when summer came around, I would let them run around with just underware one (we live the country too) and they learned to just drop their drawers outside whenever the need happened. Of course they learned quick too as to when they could and could not do that!!
