What do you do when you are depressed?

When I'm depressed, I just lock myself into the room. I don't want to talk to anybody-- just need some time alone... When I am already calm, that's the time I go out and face whatever I have to face... What do you do when you are depressed?

Most time, its my work..with ontime deliveries and work loads. I try to divert mind on music and i feel better. We need to manage depression, as it is part of life in busy world. But if we concentrate, we can manage it. I does it through my yoga, listening music and going out on vacation.

when i'm depressed,i like to treat myself a meal.eating spicy food,buying lots of fruits like bananas,apples and grapes.i finish them and get better soon. besides eating,i like running to release all the unhappy feelings and wrongs.

The first thing I realize is that my chest seems to be weighted down by something very heavy and this makes me think that maybe I am depressed. Sure enough, all the symptoms are there including the cause. That brings me out of it very quickly especially if I bury myself in my work. The thing that depresses me the most is when my wife asks for money and I have nothing to give. That's depressing.

Well,depression can be a tricky emotion or emotional response.Things arent always as they appear.I try not to let depression own me.At least not to the extent where it dictates a sort of particular order towards my mind,body and spirit. As far as reactions to it are concerned,yes,i will try to meditate it away at times,other times,perhaps,pray it away,other times,it just seems suitable to simply get up and take a walk,or listen to music(which i do alot of). Other times,perhaps i just need to eat,or drink some more fluids.Maybe i'm just nutritionally deprived or even dehydrated.Maybe i need to hear certain types of music,Maybe i need to do a workout,or maybe,i even need to watch something on tv,or go on the internet,or play my drums,or talk to someone,whatever. I'm getting ready to move very soon and i'm pretty excited about it. I will get to use my heavybag again and thats always punched the crap outta old man depression for me if nothing else seems like a feasible approach.Then again,i gotta think about work and how that'll depress the Living Daylights outta me. Trail mix.Gotta bring trail mix to work.Chocolates,nuts,raisens,Yogurt raisens. Veggie juice with hot sauce is really good for the blues.So are pepperoncini's with cheddar.MMMM MMM MMMM!!

Hi, I would want you to listen to song melodies songs, I don't know why you get depressed, and locking yourself in room is really a bad idea. Watch TV some channel you like may be comedy like King of Queens or Every body loves Raymond shows are funny, life is too short to waste time getting depressed.

Like everyone depressed, i do not want to be disturbed and i lay down on my bed pulling my quilt on my face.And i do not want to hear anything, see anything, smell and touch anything.So i can say that i do "nothing" when i am depressed.

I just want to be left alone and not talk to anyone. I can't talk to anyone when I'm depressed. The only thing that may help me feel better is either my fiance trying to make me laugh, or writing.
