When were they at their prime?

It is said alot that RHCP have gotten bland as of late with a string of songs that all sound the same. I want to know what us RHCP Fans think about this. When do you think the band were at their prime. was it in the early 90's was it at the begining of the decade or is it now. What Albums or singles do you think are considered to be the bands greatest work.

maybe they are. because i cant recall anything new from them since the mid 90's. so guess i havent been noticing them. now i cant remember what they sang, but do know i liked some of it and can picture one in my mind dressed like a devil with ram horns
