I'm in the mood for stories of hope and strength, so here's one I want to share with all of you.
Meet Tashi, a formerly feral kitten who was born with a congenital defect that prevents the signals from reaching his hind legs allowing him to use them properly. Check out either the story or the video (both on this page, but I prefer the video because I can watch him in action).

Isn't that great?? I wish Ringoes was closer to South Jersey so I could check out their facility.
I hope you all have a wonderful New Year. Right now I'm still in a surreal state of mind. But, life goes on. Have a fantastic time.

Thanks for sharing this story. It is a story of hope and an inspiration for us all. When there is a will there is a way. I wish you a happy new year too, despite your mother's loss.

Well wowza! What a story! Rather makes having two legs more than enough and any more really not necessary, doesn't it? lol
I was watching Rachel Ray today (secret vice, shhhhhhhh!) and she had on the three ugliest dogs in the world..........seriously, they were voted as such! One of them only had three legs and one eye, no hair, liver spots everywhere, a tuft of long furry stuff between his ears and was truly a sad looking creature. But his other eye just sparkled and though his one back leg was stiff and unusable, he could still move about and twitch his ears and grin like a Cheshire Cat! I fell in love! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and if you look long and hard enough, even the most ugly sights have a beauty of line or spirit that will capture your heart...........................
Happy New Year Jerz! And keep these heartwarming stories coming. Hugs.

beautiful cat-such spirit.

Aww--What a wonderful kitty Tashi is, and what a fantastic place that Tabby's Place is. I saw the other cat, the black one also in that wheeled cart. Tashi seems so happy despite his disability. I'd adopt him in a minute if I could..Thanks for sharing this
