Hepatitis B virus is a very dreadly & infectious virus which has modes of transmission similar to that of HIV virus. Its infectivity is much more that of the AIDS virus probably a 10 times. Only a little body fluid contact can make you harbour the virus for life. Once infected u have a fair chance of developing either liver cirrhosis or hepatocellular carcinoma. Mostly the transmission is blood-borne. Are you immunised against this viral disease ?? Please spread awareness...

i am very much aware about this hepatitis b virus, as well as, regarding how infectious it is. when my first two kids were at the grade level, i got worried as they made everyone around them good friends enough. so, i contacted the doctor for them to have the vaccinations. well, the doctor simply advised me to tell my kids not to be using utensils used by others and to drink water from their own vessels. it is that easy to stay away from harm. now, my three kids are all of majority ages and, no one among them caught the disease. since we do not hang around at eating and drinking sprees and occasions, there is indeed no need for anyone of us to go through the vaccination process at all.

Hi uditpanda...here our children are required to be vaccinated at birth for hepititis B. Our healthcare workers also have to be vaccinated as they have a greater risk of catching it.I have been vaccinated because I am a first responder at work and may sometimes deal with a bleeding coworker or have to clean up after an injury. It is a very dangerous virus.
