Is that the "I wouldn't have even thought of that interpretation if you hadn't mentioned it"? Like if I say or write something, and think that it might be interpreted the wrong way; and then--rather than repeat it in a different way or more-exactly word it--I bring up the WRONG way and tell `em ' ... but that's not what I'm meaning.'

Ahh a familiar thing for my ears!! Along with "if you would have listened to me then you wouldn't be in this situation" or "it would have all worked out if you would have done what I said" I have learned to keep my mouth shut after being told many many times that none of this would have happened if you wouldve kept your mouth shut. After being told this a million and two times I decided to stop speaking before I think. Now I either reword what i have to say, or say it in a way that does not make it obvious the point I am trying to make until later. :) I know sneaky lol But it is proven to be extremely effective. My biggest problem now is learning to take advice when it is given to me. Anytime some one gives me advice I tend to ignore it, thinking that my manner of thinking makes more sense. Needless to say I have a 60% failure rate when it comes to my personal life.
